I remember spending hours playing \"non t\u2019arrabbiare\" (similar to the board game \"Sorry!\" or \"Trouble\") with my sister in the Stube of the hotel where we usually spent our winter holidays with the family when I was a child. I adored that environment. It seemed just like the settings from Nordic fairy tales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we received the request from Hotel Cerana, I revisited those two girls seated at a solid wood table, gigantic in their eyes. They asked to find an aesthetic and functional solution for the hotel's Stube. The environment is enchanting, warm, like in fairy tales, but the owner informed us that some guests find it uncomfortable to stay in that room due to the difficulty in maneuvering the armchairs and accessing the benches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prototyping department team proposed a clever custom solution. Starting from the model of the Belfast armchair (BS575A), a swivel system was designed with the insertion of a self-return mechanism between the legs and the bottom of the seat. This way, space was gained to enter and exit the benches, sit down and get up from the chairs, with the latter always neatly arranged around the table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This project then led to the realization of the entire hall, furnished with Chicago armchairs (BS594L<\/a>) and Seville sofas (BS622L<\/a>), modifying the model of the Chicago armchair (BS594P<\/a>), reducing its dimensions for the armchairs to accommodate a greater number, and increasing the dimensions of the sofas to accommodate more seats. Everything was upholstered with iridescent velvet in shades of brown and gold, alternating with printed hues and geometries. The redesign of the restaurant was also requested, which we furnished with Jefferson armchairs (BS629A<\/a>) upholstered in antiqued velvet, also in brown\/gold tones, and with the backrests of the benches embellished with stitching to achieve a quilted effect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
