A rebuke by tradition.
At the Hotel Cristallo in Andalo, our collaboration has become well-established over time. After furnishing the dining room and lobby, last year we were commissioned to renovate the bar area, in collaboration with architect Tatiana Bottamedi. The result? A completely transformed bar, so much so that it looks like a different place.
For this project, we chose the Lione model, with some modifications: we increased the thickness of the seat rubber and shortened the legs, but kept the overall height unchanged. This little trick gave the illusion of a more upholstered seat, giving it a more armchair-like feel.
The fabric chosen is a washable, stain-resistant nubuck, which is essential for a bar frequented by cyclists and skiers who, as they pass by, often leave traces of their outdoor adventures. The hotel, located at the foot of the cable car leading to the pass, is a gathering place for sports enthusiasts, both in winter and summer. The armchairs, in a refined pink mauve color, add a touch of elegance and romance, creating a subtle contrast with the tables and benches in brown tones and geometric designs.
A whimsical way of doing things and an experience to tell.
Every project has its little contingencies, and with the hotel owner, it is always a colorful experience. Although she is very demanding and precise, she is always satisfied in the end and continues to choose our products. A funny episode was when, during the closing of the deal, she preemptively yelled at us for a late delivery, even though we had never missed a deadline!
The delivery adhered impeccably to all the agreed-upon timelines. However, the owner, with her whimsical way of doing things, still “chastised” us, perhaps not to break tradition! In the end, however, satisfaction with the job done was evident, and the Crystal Bar now shines in a new light, ready to welcome guests with elegance and style.
