With time, one gets younger.
Hotel La Bussola in Andalo is a regular customer, and our collaboration has become more and more stimulating and pleasant over the years. Last year we provided armchairs and stools for the bar, and this year they asked us to renovate the lobby with a small sofa and two armchairs.
The owner, who always pays attention to detail, opted for the Cardiff model for the sofa and armchairs. The real challenge was the selection of the fabric, a process that required care and precision. The owner wanted an elegant velvet, but feared that a pattern that was too heavy would tire her out over time, especially since the seats would be placed right in front of the reception area, a highly visible and busy area.
After several discussions and sampling, the choice fell on a plain velvet matching a printed velvet with a peacock tail pattern. The pattern was distinctive but not excessive, capable of lending elegance without weighing down the room. The combination turned out to be perfect: the plain velvet gave a refined touch, while the peacock tail pattern added a distinctive but harmonious element.
Definitely a cozy ambience for all guests.
To complete the decor, we also made curtain stops out of the same grey velvet used for the armchairs, creating a perfect match between the seats and the windows. This detail, already appreciated in the bar area where we had used the same grey nubuck for the armchairs and curtain stops, further enhanced the harmony of the environment.
Every visit to Hotel La Bussola is always a pleasure. The owner and her staff are always delighted to welcome us, and the relationship we have built goes beyond simply providing furniture. It is a collaboration based on mutual trust and a shared aesthetic vision that makes each project a rewarding experience.
The end result was beautiful: the sofa and Cardiff armchairs added a touch of sophistication to the lobby, and the careful choice of fabrics proved that even the smallest details can make a big difference.
