A kaleidoscope among the Dolomites..
Working with the Como Alpina Dolomite in Alpe di Siusi was one of those projects that sticks in the memory. This property is part of the Como chain, known for its five-star luxury hotels scattered around the world, from Bali to Thailand. It all started when Milan-based architecture firm Otto noticed us at a trade show in Rimini. Soon after, architect Santiago Luna contacted us, looking for the perfect chair for the rooms at Como Alpine.
After sending several samples, the choice fell on the Moon model. However, they requested a special modification: to replace the standard turned legs with a square pyramidal leg, lacquered in a specific RAL shade to match the other furnishings. All, finished with a blue velvet and cardinal red cord, thicker and more prominent than the standard, for a bold and striking visual effect.
A dream structure with a breathtaking view.
The process was incredibly fast: from sample shipment to order confirmation, barely a month passed. In just five weeks, we produced and delivered all 115 chairs directly to the hotel, located in one of the most protected and enchanting areas of the Dolomites, the Alpe di Siusi. Here, vehicle access is limited to preserve the natural beauty of the area, which made the delivery an adventure in itself.
The hotel itself is an architectural jewel, a dream structure that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Our work was appreciated not only by the architects of Studio Otto, but also by the Como Alpine team. Santiago Luna and Gian Paolo Venier, the artistic director of the project, were thrilled with the final result.
Ultimately, this collaboration was not only a great opportunity, but also a highly prestigious reference for us. A project that embodies luxury and quality, and that allowed us to make our mark on one of the most spectacular hotels in the Dolomites. A true success, whichever way you look at it.
