Last count at the photo finish.

Thanks to word of mouth from Patrizio and Oscar, the owners of Hotel Costabella in Moena, Hotel Foresta contacted us. They needed to renovate the hall and restaurant, changing seats and benches. The relationship with the owners, Walter and Riccardo, was very cordial. After a couple of visits, they decided on the Ticino model, with a faux-nubuck seat in shades of brown and a faux-nubuck backrest with a modern linen-effect print in light blue.

I remember having some doubts when we saw the finished chairs in our sample workshop, I thought the colour palette was not optimal. However, once contextualised in the hotel environment, the result was surprisingly beautiful. The seat was made slightly higher than normal by extending the legs, while in the benches we kept the existing stitching.

A special feature of this project is that the hotel never closes. We therefore agreed on a week in which they would leave the room free. On Monday we picked up the benches, took them to the workshop to have them redone, and brought them back on Friday morning, ready to be used on Saturday for the guests' breakfast.

Good design turned ideas into reality.

One of the funniest anecdotes of this project was Mr Walter's meticulousness in establishing the exact number of chairs to be produced. At each appointment to manage the various stages of the project, we counted and recounted together the ideal number of chairs to be set up in the room: once 18, then 19, then 20, and so on, to be absolutely sure of the exact number. In the end, I think we counted them dozens of times!

Despite initial uncertainties and numerous verifications, the end result exceeded expectations. This project once again demonstrated the ability of good design to turn ideas into reality, with the addition of timeless elegance and impeccable precision. And so, Hotel Foresta was able to welcome its guests to a renovated and refined environment, ready for new adventures.
