During the complete renovation of the renowned Oswald Bar, located in the heart of Selva di Val Gardena, the owner, Mr. Linder, approached us looking for a chair that would combine a contemporary aesthetic with strictly functional needs. The requirement was clear: a chair that was visually light, characterized by a balanced use of fabric, and extremely practical for day-to-day operations within the establishment.
The answer to this challenge was the Clio chair. Although the model was still in the delicate prototyping phase, simply showing the client the preliminary sketch was enough to spark an immediate passion. Fascinated by the design's clean, essential lines, Mr. Linder chose to bet on Clio "on paper," falling instantly in love with it and confirming the order even before the final model went into series production.
To harmonize the new seating with the bar's overall design, Clio's frame was crafted from brushed, black-stained ash. This deep, textured finish was chosen to seamlessly complement the dark bases of the existing tables, creating a solid visual coherence.
The true touch of customization lies in the vibrant colors of the upholstery. We've chosen the Clio chair in three different shades of green (light, medium, and dark). This choice breaks up the monotony of the room and evokes the woodsy, natural tones of Val Gardena in an extremely sophisticated way.
The textile project also extended to the lounge area, with the complete upholstery of all the benches being redone. In this case, a refined combination of materials was chosen: a warm brown upholstery for the seats and a sophisticated striped green velvet for the backrests, lending tactile depth and enveloping comfort.
To complete the work, the counter area was enhanced with high Clio stools, finished with the same stylistic consistency as the chairs: black ash structure and alternating seats in shades of green.
The final result fully satisfied the client, the bar managers, and the guests. The seating blends seamlessly with the structure's color palette and warm materials, creating a welcoming, tailored atmosphere of the highest aesthetic quality.
