The Art of Hospitality between Light and Alpine Tradition

The meeting with Mrs. Agnese and her son Federico stemmed from the desire to renovate the dining room of the Hotel Edelweiss in Pinzolo, seeking a modern aesthetic that would blend seamlessly with the warm, traditional elements of the building, such as the aged wood and existing finishes.

The main goal was to create a welcoming and bright atmosphere, optimizing space without sacrificing maximum guest comfort.

Thanks also to the suggestions of Mrs. Agnese's daughter, architect Isabella Maffei, the search focused on a chair with a unique character, capable of standing out from the ordinary lines without overpowering the space. The choice fell on the Stoccolma model, revisited and customized in every detail to meet specific space and style needs.

At just 45 cm wide and with its bold lines, the chair ensures optimal comfort around tables, while the turned natural wood leg pairs seamlessly with the aged wood finishes and upholstery of the frame.

The real highlight lies in the play of contrasts in the upholstery: the light dove-grey Eco-nubuck of the internal backrest gives an immediate sensation of light to the entire room, while the dark brown seat and back give elegance and depth.

To ensure stylistic continuity and maximum practicality, the same fabric—known for its high performance (fire-retardant, stain-resistant, and water-repellent)—was also used to upholster the perimeter benches, extending the project to the adjacent private room. This coordinated restyling ensures every guest enjoys the same experience of comfort and refinement.
