A harmony of styles: the transformation of the Contadino restaurant

Let me start by saying that I adore the ornaments in this stunning space nestled in the greenery of the Euganean Hills. Working with the owner to find the best solution proved to be a creatively stimulating experience.

This request from Ristorante al Contadino stemmed from the need to balance the classic and modern elements of the main dining room, striking the right balance without veering too far into shabby chic. We proposed a variation of the Versailles head chair (BS100A) and its accompanying chair (BS100S), lightened by the baroque carvings on the legs and finished with a class 1IM fire-retardant, washable, stain-resistant, and water-repellent Econabuk fabric.

The elegant, dramatic and visually striking capitonné finish of the fabric is complemented by studded piping.

The right balance between classic and modern.

The frame has been treated with a peeled finish. This effect is achieved by applying a first layer of matching varnish, over which the final lacquer is applied. The antique effect is then achieved by delicately removing the lacquer from the edges by hand to reveal the underlying color.

This project ended with great satisfaction for the aesthetic result achieved and with me sitting at my computer searching online for those wonderful ornaments.
