Relais Bellaria Hotel & Congressi

Emerging quality in harmonious spaces.

Relais Bellaria in Bologna was one of the customers we met at the Rimini trade fair. The manager, Mr Angelo, was looking for seating to renovate the hall, which had red faux leather sofas that had worn out over time.

After presenting our offer, Angelo informed me that he had received a more advantageous proposal from another company for what looked like one of our models. I immediately realised that it was one of our former dealers and explained to Angelo the difference in production quality and materials used for that type of product.

Our production guarantees a high standard of quality so that it can be compared with imported products or those made by non-artisans.

Mr Angelo gave us the opportunity to corroborate my claims about the difference in quality in person. This required several appointments just to analyse fabrics and combinations and test samples of the models they had in mind. After a perilous evaluation, they opted for the Santa Monica armchairs, alternating with Dublino-style armchairs and Cardiff sofas, customised with a greater width than the standard.

Great satisfaction and a cosy space for guests.

For the upholstery, we chose an antique-effect brown eco-nubuck for the seat and a fabric with a small geometric pattern in shades of ochre, grey and brown for the backrest. The front of the backrests was made of ochre velvet, recalling the colour of the rear backrest. The legs of the chairs and sofas were dyed dark walnut, almost black.

We added two small round tables, one 60 cm in diameter and the other 80 cm in diameter, the smaller one higher and the larger one lower, coordinated in a dark walnut colour like the legs of the chairs. The whole was enriched with cushions made of the same geometric fabric as the backrest.

In the end, the result was extraordinary. The hall of the Relais Bellaria was transformed into a cosy and sophisticated space, where every detail, from the fabrics to the colours, was carefully selected. Angelo and Mr Mazza were extremely satisfied with our work. This project is particularly close to my heart, as it allowed me to concretely demonstrate the importance of quality materials and service. We often talk about ‘quality’ and ‘durability’ without being able to demonstrate them, but this time we had the opportunity to give real value to these words.
