Alpino Baby Family Hotel

The grass is always greener on the other side.

The Hotel Alpino in Andalo has always been one of those customers who never seemed to notice us. Years of carefully delivered catalogues and never a hint of interest. However, sometimes surprises come out of nowhere, and so it was this time too. Thanks to their architect who noticed our sofas decorating the veranda of the hotel opposite, we were finally contacted.

The owner, determined and pragmatic, called me directly to order four Round sofas and as many Rio de Janeiro tables for the terraces of four rooms. ‘No need to bring them in for viewing,’ he told me, ’we know them well, we saw them from the hotel across the street.’ An immediate confirmation, in short, that made me smile for its simplicity.

We then met to define the fabrics and colours. They chose a mint green outdoor fabric, perfect for blending in with the green tones already present in the hotel's balconies and walls. A simple but effective combination that maintains the aesthetic harmony of the Alpino.

During the fabric presentation, I also took the opportunity to propose something special for the little ones, considering that the Alpino is one of the most popular family hotels in Andalo. And so, here is the idea of the Paris Baby armchairs, with black legs, yellow eco-nubuck upholstery and a black decorative cord on the backrest. Perfect to recall the colours of their mascot, the Gaya bee.

Finally, everything was chosen with the utmost attention to practicality: washable, stain-resistant and absolutely child-proof fabrics. A project concluded with a touch of colour and a lot of functionality, ready to welcome families in the heart of the Trentino Alps. Even though it was a long journey, it was a great pleasure to collaborate with the Hotel Alpino, one of the busiest hotels in the valley.
