A pink orchid for guests.
The Atlantic Hotel in Abano Terme is one of those projects that I remember with particular fondness. A few years ago, Mr. Matteo Carraro, together with his wife, sister, two daughters and the whole family (really delightful), came to visit us with a small bus. They had decided to completely renovate the hall and, after meeting us, they entrusted us with the whole project.
We started with the choice of armchairs: two Rainbow Clouds in one corner to give a lively touch and seven Cloud armchairs with three Cloud sofas in petrol-colored velvet, combined with powder-colored cushions. In the back, however, we opted for sofas and Chicago armchairs, both in iridescent velvet, with shades ranging from petrol to sage, again accompanied by iridescent pink cushions. To complete the ambiance, we added some pouf Dublino in various colors, creating a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere.
For the bar area, we included three Austin armchairs in powder blue velvet, with a dark blue cord, juxtaposed with three small tables. The whole thing was a success, despite some delays in production. To avoid leaving the lobby empty, we had temporarily placed some furniture from the showroom, creating a curious mix that customers, surprisingly, found fascinating.
We breathed new life into the hotel, which now, more than ever, shines in its own light.
The height of the seats, deliberately higher than the standard (45 cm), was designed to ensure optimal comfort, even for those who have some difficulty getting up.
We opted for the Ticino model, with a velvet in taupe tones. The plain-colored seat and the backrest decorated with a pattern reminiscent of a small peacock's tail lent a unique elegance to the room. The bar stools were also reupholstered in the same velvet, thus providing perfect stylistic continuity. The aspect that inspired me most in visualizing this project were the beautiful orchids that now accompany the dress of the Ticino armchairs with soft elegance.
The whole project has given new life to the Atlantic Hotel, transforming the spaces into cozy and refined places, perfect for welcoming guests in an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. It is always satisfying to see how attention to detail and careful choice of materials can make a difference. And when clients, like the Carraro family, are so enthusiastic about the result, the satisfaction is even greater.
