At the right time!
The story begins with a series of chance encounters: I had carried various catalogues during distribution and had met Mr Mussner at a trade fair in Bolzano. There he had expressed his wish to renew some sessions, but then he had not contacted me again. One day, passing by chance in the neighbourhood, I decided to stop by and, as if by magic, I arrived at just the right moment: Sergio was looking for my contacts that he had lost!
We immediately started discussing the requirements for the Dominik. Mr Mussner needed armchairs for a small room in the restaurant and also for some rooms. The choice fell on Miami armchairs, with a stiffer rubber density for more comfort and durability. For the upholstery, he opted for a fabric from English Decor, which he was already familiar with and which matched the existing benches perfectly.
Luck and timing play a crucial role.
For the rooms, we selected the Cardiff armchair, also in velvet by English Decor, to maintain stylistic continuity with the other furnishings. To complete the room furnishings, we added the Rollo desk chair..
The relationship with Mr Mussner has always been a balance of courtesy and negotiation. Price negotiations are challenging, but in the end everything has always been done with the utmost esteem that always favours a meeting point. However, what endeared me to them on each visit was their adorable little dog, a little fox, who greeted us with his sweet presence, always making the meetings light and pleasant.
This project was an excellent example of how luck and timing can play a crucial role in collaborations, turning a chance encounter into a valuable opportunity.
