The Hotel La Bussola in Andalo is a regular client, and our collaboration has become increasingly stimulating and enjoyable over the years. Last year, we provided armchairs and stools for the bar, and this year they asked us to renovate the lobby with a sofa and two armchairs.
The owner, always attentive to detail, opted for the Cardiff model for the sofa and armchairs. The real challenge was selecting the fabric, a process that required care and precision. The owner wanted an elegant velvet, but she feared that a heavy design might tire her out over time, especially since the seats would be located directly in front of the reception desk, a highly visible and frequented area.
After several discussions and samplings, the choice fell on a solid-color velvet coordinated with a velvet printed with a peacock tail design. The pattern was distinctive but not overbearing, lending elegance without overpowering the space. The combination proved to be perfect: the solid-color velvet lent a refined touch, while the peacock tail motif added a distinctive yet harmonious element.
Definitely a welcoming environment for all guests.
To complete the decor, we also made curtain tiebacks with the same gray velvet used for the armchairs, creating a perfect match between the seats and the windows. This detail, already appreciated in the bar area where we used the same gray nubuck for the armchairs and curtain tiebacks, further enhanced the harmony of the space.
Every visit to Hotel La Bussola is always a pleasure. The owner and her staff are always enthusiastic to welcome us, and the relationship we've built goes beyond simply supplying furnishings. It's a collaboration based on mutual trust and a shared aesthetic vision that makes every project a rewarding experience.
The end result was stunning: the Cardiff sofa and armchairs added a touch of sophistication to the lobby, and the thoughtful choice of fabrics demonstrated that even the smallest details can make a big difference. Hotel La Bussola is welcoming and charming, and we are proud to help maintain these qualities.
