The renovation of the Hotel Moena's dining room: comfort, tradition, and functionality

In the heart of Moena, the eponymous Hotel Moena is a benchmark for local hospitality. The owner, Mr. Elia Galbusera, contacted us with a very specific request: to completely renovate the dining room seating.

The starting point was to solve a concrete problem: the old chairs, now at the end of their useful life, were so low that they were almost flush with the table, compromising the guests' comfort. For this reason, the client's primary request was for chairs with a high, visually striking backrest.

After evaluating several impressively tall options, the final choice fell on a medium-height solution, capable of ensuring perfect balance: making the chair appear slimmer than the table without visually weighing down the room.

The Turku model was chosen: a chair with a square design and clean lines, featuring a practical and discreet opening at the back. Thanks to its compact dimensions (with an overall width of just 45 cm), it was possible to accommodate as many as 90 chairs within the room, maximizing space without sacrificing ease of movement.

The finishes have also been designed to integrate harmoniously with the Alpine atmosphere of the hotel:

Structure: legs in natural beech wood, warm and welcoming.

Lining: an innovative Eco-nubuck fabric printed in shades of light green, with a pattern that recalls the classic Loden style.

This aesthetic choice combines the charm of tradition with the best modern technical performance: the fabric is in fact completely washable, stain-resistant and extremely easy to clean.

The end result is extraordinary: the dining room has been transformed, taking on a new light and elegant character. But the greatest satisfaction remains that of the client, happy to offer their guests a supremely comfortable experience.
