The project for the Villalsole Residence in San Felice del Benaco was one of those projects that required careful planning, a subtle balance between simplicity and sophistication. The setting we were immersed in spoke for itself: luxury bungalows overlooking Lake Garda, surrounded by an enchanting landscape that needed no redundant additions. The owner, a distinguished and always impeccable individual, welcomed us with clear ideas, demonstrating from the very beginning that he knew exactly what we wanted.
For the porch of one of the villas, the Cesare collection was chosen, consisting of a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, and an ottoman. Each piece was finished with a special outdoor oil in oak, perfectly complementing the wood of the structure.
For the upholstery, the choice fell on Amelia fabric, an innovative yarn made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The chosen shades, white and brown, blended effortlessly with the outdoor setting, lending the space a sophisticated yet authentic feel, almost as if every element had been created there.
For the other side of the porch, the owner wanted something unique: a custom-made eight-seater table, 220 cm long, also with an outdoor finish. The most original detail was hidden in the tabletop: a central recess designed to accommodate a clear glass panel.
The strength of Iroko wood
A refined yet functional solution, designed to protect the surface from potential marks left by candles or other objects. "It's better to prevent a candle from ruining the wood," he told us with a kind smile.
To accompany the table, we added Cancun-style chairs and armchairs, also finished in outdoor oak, thus completing a harmonious and coherent ensemble.
The end result truly exceeded all expectations. Upon delivery, the owner confided in us with a smile—and a hint of affectionate regret—how sorry he was for not keeping the furniture for himself. A simple and spontaneous thought that, for all of us, was the most beautiful compliment.
