Le Perla Life Hotel

From the Bolzano Fair to a dream veranda: the evolution of hospitality at Hotel La Perla

Our collaboration with Massimo and Sabrina, owners of Hotel La Perla in Andalo, has deep roots: after successfully designing their lobby furniture, it was a real pleasure to meet again at the Bolzano trade fair. There, the owners expressed a new desire: to give a soul and a distinct identity to the small veranda located directly in front of the main entrance.

The design challenge for this space lay in a climatic detail: despite being a sheltered veranda, its opening to the outside exposes it to the typical, sudden mountain summer downpours. The seating therefore had to be aesthetically impeccable while also being extremely moisture-resistant.

We selected the Lora chair and the Cloud armchair, creating a dynamic mix of shapes.

To ensure maximum durability, the chair legs are crafted from premium iroko wood, treated with a special protective outdoor oil. This black finish not only enhances the design but also prevents rain and moisture from damaging the structure.

For the upholstery, we played with a refined palette of outdoor grays, alternating a lighter, brighter gray for the Lora model with a darker, more decisive gray for the Cloud armchair.

Next to the veranda, the space concealed a small niche featuring a striking stone wall and gray porphyry flooring. Here, we wanted to be bold, creating an intimate, yet visually striking, micro-lounge area.

We inserted a sofa from the Cloud collection, specially made to measure to fit perfectly into the available space.

Breaking the neutral grays, the choice of upholstery fell on a bold, fiery red velvet. The contrast with the stone and porphyry is extraordinary: the corner has been transformed into a welcoming, warm refuge with a magnetic personality.

To complete this relaxing oasis, we have inserted the drop-shaped Gilmore table, also treated with protective outdoor oil to maintain a material and functional consistency.

A peaceful haven where design meets the functionality of mountain life. But the greatest satisfaction was seeing Sabrina's enthusiasm, as she finally fulfilled her dream of enhancing this space with the Cloud collection, one of her favorite lines from our catalog.
