Hotel Majorka

From Dublino to Plaus one way.

The Hotel Majorka in Andalo is one of those projects that epitomizes the collaboration between design and craftsmanship. The relationship with the owners has always been formal, and the work was carried out in close collaboration with architect Tatiana Bottamedi, a professional with a strong creative sensibility, with whom I always collaborate enthusiastically.

The project involved the renovation of several rooms, adding a touch of elegance and customization. Architect Bottamedi proposed using matching armchairs and ottomans for each room. The Dublinoo model was chosen for the ottomans, while the Plaus model was chosen for the armchairs, but with a distinctive touch: a decorative hole in the backrest, making each piece unique and distinctive.

The true magic of this project lies in the customization of colors. Each room has its own color theme, with poufs in various colors: white, green, and yellow, creating a harmonious and coordinated atmosphere. The fabrics used were chosen for their beauty and functionality. Washable and durable, they are perfect for everyday use in a luxury hotel.

The chair legs were polished and stained to order, ensuring a perfect match with the rest of the furniture. This level of attention to detail made the project not only beautiful but also coherent and refined.

One of the most interesting challenges was creating the hole in the backrest of the Plaus armchairs, a request that added a distinctive and innovative design element. This seemingly simple detail required precision and care, proving once again that quality craftsmanship can transform a simple piece of furniture into a work of art.

Ultimately, the Hotel Majorka project in Andalo is a perfect example of how meticulous attention to detail and close collaboration with a highly experienced architect can create unique and captivating spaces.
