Python velvets and textures like dewdrops

We stumbled upon the Concordia in Livigno almost by accident. We were busy at a meeting at nearby Lac Salin when the owners suggested: "If you have some time, come over there too. We need to renew the chairs at the Concordia." A sudden invitation that turned into a major project.

Here it was love at first sight for the armchair Jefferson. The choice was made in collaboration with Bormio-based studio BEARprogetti, and fell on an extraordinary upholstery for the approximately 100 chairs commissioned: a curry-colored velvet, embellished with a gray-brown python print. An unusual yet surprisingly balanced combination, it pairs beautifully with the very dark wood floors, the dark ceiling and walls, and even the large matching sideboard. The black legs of the chairs completed the look, allowing the fabric to draw the eye.

In a more intimate room, however, we chose to play with an olive green variation of the same motif.

In addition to chairs and benches, we also supplied around fifty table tops. Made of laminate Measuring 30 millimeters thick, they've been customized with a matte black finish dotted with shiny micro-droplets. A detail that, under the light, resembles morning dew: truly striking.

We personally oversaw the delivery and assembly, meeting tight deadlines—just five or six weeks. The initially formal relationship quickly evolved into a more direct and cordial collaboration.

The final result completely satisfied the owners and the architect, who appreciated the quality of the materials and the precision of the finishes. And we are delighted to have contributed to creating a space that combines character and elegance.
