It all began with an initial handshake and a curiously leafed-through catalog. Mr. Alberto, owner of the Hotel Des Alpes in the heart of the Queen of the Dolomites, dreamed of giving his hotel's lobby and lounge a new, sophisticated look in preparation for its spring reopening. From that initial meeting and the conversations we had among the stands at the Riva del Garda trade fair, a collaboration was born based on trust and constant dialogue.
Behind every great project lies a journey of mediation and the pursuit of perfection. Working closely with the owners and the interior designers, we guided a complex negotiation, transforming it into a winning synergy. The crucial moment was the selection of finishes and coverings, where our tailoring expertise was able to craft a unique and intimate proposal for the lounge area.
For this intimate and exclusive space, the enveloping lines of the Chicago collection were chosen: nine armchairs, three sofas, and a majestic sofa, all custom-made to fit seamlessly into the space. The Matte Black frames lend a contemporary elegance, complemented by a uniquely charming interplay of materials.
The real magic lies in the boldness of the coating:
Backrest: a fine light printed Nubuck with a refined grey micro-design.
Seat and front backrest: a sumptuous iridescent Petrol-colored velvet in a solid color.
A combination that might have seemed like a risky gamble on paper, but once realized in person, it revealed itself to be a true masterpiece: the light of the Dolomites caresses the iridescent velvet, creating magnetic and sophisticated reflections that dialogue harmoniously with the discreet texture of the nubuck.
The Result: Today, the Hotel Des Alpes lounge welcomes guests in a warm, exclusive, and timeless atmosphere, where sartorial elegance meets the enchantment of Cortina.
